Cruelty on the Palestinians
I have personally attended a lecture in which a Professor who happened to be a jew, referred to the Israeli settlement strategy, and especially the use of military tanks against Palestinian villagers, as an act of 'terrorism'. There is in fact a substantial group of socialism-inspired jews who support the Palestinian viewpoint and openly denounce the governmental policies of Israel. Among the key personalities in this group are Naom Chomsky and Prof. Norman Finkelstein. So it is a widely established fact that the people of Palestine have been facing immense cruelty. There is sufficient interest in the international community and within the perpetrators themselves to end this cruelty. Stephen Hawkins, the most respected scientist of the world was successfully convinced by Naom Chomsky to reject the invitation to participate in the the annual conference that prominent personalities of the world attend every year in Israel [blogpost link]. Therefore the issue is now to channelise the interest that is already present. This means the method of action has to be decided. If the method will remain undefined then the interest will either be lost or it will default into a wasteful direction.
